We will all miss Edgar's guidance and grin. From Long Wharf to RITF to CITF, he led with grace and professionalism. I will always be grateful. Bless you Edgar and bless Cornelia and Jessie.

Always the entrepreneur - who else could book the Budapest String Quartet into a barn? But my connection...before Woodstock and Long Wharf he was "Promotion Director" for our little 1958 magazine, Entertainment offBROADWAY. Cornelia, my condolences.

Ed was a dear, cheerful, witty friend, whom I have admired for many years. I can't express how much I'll miss him around Woodstock. I am very, very sad.
- Lee Haring
I originally met Edgar at Bard College. Years passed, I married, moved to Connecticut, and became a theater critic. The time I spent watching Edgar and Arvin lead Long Wharf through many exciting seasons was truly an education. Edgar was a gentleman with a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.
- Roz Friedman
Haven't heard the name in so very many years because it is so far from the Woodstock New York days of Cornelia and Edgar. Sorry to hear of his passing. Happy to hear of his enduring theatrical career. I mourn for the time that finally runs out on all of us.
- Luba Byman Staller
I met Edgar and Cornelia in Russia with Linda Purl. We had a wonderful time. I enjoy the conversations with Edgar about theatre. He spoke about the ideas for the Festival. He had a wonderful sense of humor. I will miss his enthusiasm and expertise. Cornelia - I am so sorry for your loss.
- Lauren Tyson
Dear Edgar: You hired me into the marketing dept at Long Wharf, with no resume, and the experience filled my soul. I had the chance to drive to Ventura last year to see you, but for reasons that escape me now, I did not come, and I deeply regret not taking the chance to see you once again. Memory eternal.
- John Khouri
Edgar was a consummate professional as well as a man who was generous with his knowledge as well as his gifts. I am privileged to have worked with him and am sorry to hear that he has passed on. I extend my deepest condolences.
- Ella Martin
Edgar lived Theatre - not in the sense of "drama," but in as a necessity to express the spirit. He lived integrity - not as judgment of others, but as a standard to which he held himself. He lived generosity—not for show, but as a mentor maps out a path. Thankfully,we have his footsteps to follow.
- Mara Purl
